1 cup whole milk
2 cups heavy whipping cream
3/4 cup sugar
3 1/2 cups frozen sweet bing cherries (make sure they are pitted)
5 tablespoons cherry juice from the frozen cherries
 
  • Puree 3 cups of the frozen cherries in a blender and set aside.

  • Heat the milk in a saucepan over medium-high heat until it begins to simmer and foam.

  • Once the milk begins to simmer, remove it from the heat.

  • Start mixing in the sugar, cherry juice, and cherry puree.

  • In a large bowl whip heavy whipping cream with a mixer on medium speed until firm peaks form.

  • Fold the whipped heavy cream into the mixture.

  • Pour mixture into loaf pan and add remaining whole cherries.

  • Place in freezer for 30 minutes.

  • Take the gelato out the fridge and whisk it every 30 minutes for the first two hours.

  • Leave in freezer overnight.

  • Scoop it up and ENJOY!
